Manic Monday // Quick Makeup

Another weekend has come and gone. My weekends have been so enjoyable, which makes the start of the work week that much more difficult. This Monday is going to be particularly hard to overcome because I will be working more than usual, which effects me physically and mentally. I’ve spent the weekend preparing and am going to try to take everyday as it comes and look forward to downtime with my boys in the evenings and the next weekend, which I’m determined to make relaxing.

In the mornings, I’ve been staying in bed a little longer everyday and having to rush to get ready to leave. When it comes to looking presentable, I just throw some volumizing dry shampoo in my hair, a base on my face, fill in my brows (because I canNOT feel put together without them), a brightening color on my lids, a little highlighting on my cheeks and an easy-to-apply sheer lip balm. I don’t like a fuss and stick to the basics when I’m short for time so I actually have a chance to eat some breakfast because without it I will not be able to make it through the day.

Stila Kitten $18 – This is a beautiful, warm, brightening shadow that can be applied all over the lid, including the inner corner, making you look more awake.

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil $32 – The size of this brow pencil makes it easy to fill in sparse areas without being too precise. It’s also a waxier consistency then other brow pencils, which makes it more forgiving if you apply a little too much.

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara $21 – This is my current favorite mascara. I also just bought two tubes at Ulta yesterday during their 50% off sale… score! It lengthens my lashes and doesn’t clump.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette $58 – The three options in this palette can be used as a setting powder, highlighter, and bronzer, which makes it perfect for rushed mornings.

Revlon Colorburst Calm Stain $6.49 – I absolutely love this lip balm. It’s sheer enough that it’s easy to apply, but provides enough color to make my face look more alive.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue $29 – I will only wear bases that don’t feel too heavy  or are too high coverage and this tinted moisturizing covers just enough to even out my skin tone.

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-Powder $37 – I’ve tried several dry shampoo sprays but love this powder version. I apply a little at my roots and layer up to soak up an excess oil and to provide some lift.
