The Body Shop Haul

As if I needed another thing to spend my money on, I have recently become more concerned with skin care. I could probably trace this “need” back to the various Birchbox skincare samples I’ve received but I have been struggling a bit with blemishes the last 6 months or so, which is very unusual for me. In high school I struggled a bit with what some would call minor skin issues but I’ve now gone a few years without issues and I definitely got comfortable with only cleansing and moisturizing. I would buy cleansers at the drug store (usually Clean & Clear) and use Clinique moisturizer samples that I received in the various Clinique Bonuses. Anyway, what I’m trying to say is I have always been lucky with pretty good skin but recently I’ve noticed some issues that I would like to take care of and, you know, not have.

I had never tried the Body Shop but decided to check it out at Easton a month or so ago because I’ve heard some good things and treat yoself (any Parks & Rec fans out there?)! They were having a buy three get three sale so I figured, why not try a few products. I started with the Tea Tree line because I’ve always loved the tingling feeling you usually get with Tea Tree products and because it’s supposed to help with blemished skin. From the Tea Tree line, I picked up the following products:

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash $13: I use this stuff all the time so I’ve gone through quite a bit in the last month or more

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner $13: I’ve always loved how toner makes my skin feel and this is no different

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion $20

Tea Tree Face Mask $16.50: Feels so clean!

Tea Tree Body Wash $14

Another skin care issue I wanted to address was an oily t-zone. I would describe my skin as combination because I also struggle with dryness but an oil t-zone is one of my biggest issues and I will try any product that can combat that without drying out the rest of my face. Body Shop’s Seaweed line is supposed to rebalance and mattify skin. From this line I got:

Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask $23: Makes my skin feel soft and is a super quick mask

Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream $17.50

Seaweed Pore-Cleansing Facial Exfoliator $16

Since the sale was buy three get three free, I decided to throw a few more products in my bag including:

Vitamin C Skin Boost $28: Makes my skin feel so soft!

Vitamin C Energizing Face Spritz $19 (not pictured): I use this as a makeup setter

Vitamin E Eye Cream $19

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder $20 (not pictured): I LOVE how light this bronzer is and how it doesn’t overpower my fair skin

I’ve have been using these products for a month or so now and I swear my skin tone and texture has improved plus I absolutely love the way the products feel while using them. The Tea Tree line gives that tingling that I love and I really enjoy the time I spend in the morning and evening getting ready for my day/bed. I’ve always been one that enjoys pampering and have ritualistic behaviors when it comes to grooming. I was really struggling with blemishes before I started using these products and now my skin is back to its normal, relatively clear self. Whether that’s a result of these products or not, I will continue using them because I really enjoy the smell, feel, and results from all the various products.
