I used to spend a lot of time wandering Sephora and even more money on their makeup. It’s lucky that I’m still VIB and I mainly only purchase items from Sephora now during the beloved VIB Sale. In the spring, you only get 15% so it’s not life changing but is something. My Sephora VIB sale haul includes mainly repurchases of items that I love and was running low on. I’ll save my splurges for the fall when VIBers can save 20%. Continue reading “Sephora VIB Sale Haul”
I’ve definitely fallen out of love with makeup a bit. I don’t know if it’s because I wear less than I used to or because I give myself less time to get ready in the mornings, but I find that I don’t buy as much makeup. I still watch quite a few beauty bloggers but I let my YouTube subscription box build up quite a bit because I watch fewer beauty videos. I was not immune, though, to the arrival of Glossier. Most of the YouTubers I watch live in the UK so Glossier hasn’t really been given a lot of attention in their videos but I still heard a lot about this American brand. I finally picked up a few products and decided to do a Glossier Product Review.

I take my skincare very seriously. After struggling with my skin for a couple years, I’ve been trying to invest in skincare that will help me have clearer skin. Doing my morning and evening skincare has become something that I look forward everyday and I occasionally mix things up with an exfoliator but for the most part, I stick to the same products. I definitely don’t own as much skincare as some, but my AM skincare routine contains six products.

I had grand plans for this past weekend and they just didn’t really happen. The weather was cold, which was really disappointing compared to the unseasonably warm temperatures we’ve experienced so far in Ohio. I wasn’t as productive as I had wanted to be but I did get to relax and spend time with family/Micah so all was well. I struggled to brainstorm blog ideas so here are some of my favorites so far in March.

I’ve always loved to stop by the Pixi display at Target. The packaging really caught my eye and it intrigued me with it’s not-quite-drugstore/not-quite-high-end pricing. I recall purchasing one eyeshadow palette a few years back, but other than that, I’ve never actually purchased anything. I decided to pick up some new skincare bits from Target since I’ve heard so much about Pixi skincare on YouTube and on beauty blogs.
I cannot believe it has already been three months since the autumn edition of my seasonal wish list but it is now time for my winter wish list. I know I sound like a broken record, but time really does fly by. When I wrote about the season in October, I mentioned it was warmer than I would like. We are now over halfway through January and I must say, the weather hasn’t been terrible. We’ve had a few super cold days here and there but we would also several days where it was in the 50s or even 60s. It’s been a bit of a tease since I am so desperate for spring but I’ve kind of been loving it. However, I’m still basking in sweater weather and with the current fascination with hygge, I fit right in with the masses. Continue reading “Winter Wish List”
These two items might seem like a random pair, but they are both exfoliators that I picked up recently. I was feeling spendy, and in recent times, that usually results in me picking up skincare. I have mentioned it before, but I am trying to spend more time treating myself and I have found that skincare is a great way to do this. I get to apply luxurious items to my face, which will hopefully improve its appearance in the long run, and I also get to stop and relax while it does its thing. After giving these two a try, I decided to do a little skincare review. Continue reading “Skincare Review // Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask & Herbivore Coco Rose Lip Polish”
I don’t claim to be a skincare expert and I definitely can’t say I’ve tried everything. I know I’ve said it before, but I wasn’t into skincare until the last couple of years. Through middle school, high school, and college I had great skin. I never had blemishes and I didn’t waste time looking in the mirror picking at blotches, redness, or blackheads. I didn’t wear any makeup to cover up my skin and though I knew I was lucky, I didn’t appreciate it as much as I should have. After a medical diagnosis that forced me to go off of birth control, my skin did a complete 180. Though I knew going off the medication was probably playing a part, I partially blamed my blemishes to all the stress my job at the time was causing me. Eventually, it got to the point where I hated the way I looked, especially because the people I am close to noticed since I never had issues before. For most of the time that I’ve been into makeup, I’ve had really terrible skin. I have been very unhappy with how it looks for a long time and that has definitely detracted from how I feel about myself when I wear makeup. Only recently have I begun to receive compliments on my skin again. Now, there’s a difference between my skin looking good and looking better than it has, but I’ll take the compliments either way. I began to notice that I would receive compliments most often when I was wearing the same products. Keep reading for my current everyday beauty look. Continue reading “Current Everyday Beauty Look”
To help get me back on the blog-writing wagon, I wanted to give a beauty review of some of the products I’ve been using on a regular basis (issue 01 found here). I’m not in love with all of them, but they get the job done and that’s good enough for me. I’ve been using all four of things products pretty regularly over the last few months so I feel like I am able to give a pretty good review of them. Continue reading “Beauty Review // 02”
