This weekend, Dress for Success is hosting their Fashion for Philanthropy event. Stop by 1202 N Pearl St. today from 5-8pm and tomorrow from 12-3pm to shop upscale resale pop-up boutiques for both men and women. 100% of proceeds benefit Dress for Success, a non-profit that promotes the economic independence of women in need by providing professional attire and tools to help them thrive in the workplace. As a business graduate, I am very aware of the importance of attire when interviewing and know how it can make or break you. This organization is great because they help women by not only providing them with an interview outfit, but also giving them the confidence they need to get a job. When you feel good about what you’re wearing, you are definitely more confident in what you’re saying.
My sister and I stopped by Thursday when they opened at 5 and we browsed through all the racks before purchasing a few items. I was impressed by the shoe selection but unfortunately they were mostly in the 8-9 size range (too small for me!). I did walk away with two cute tops for only $40. All purchases also receive a copy of Capital Style Magazine (which I just subscribed to) and a Victoria’s Secret tote. The have a large selection of jackets, tops, skirts, dresses, jewelry, handbags and even some shirts for men. If you’re looking for some new pieces and want to support a great organization, make a trip to this sale.
