Now that I know, I cannot imagine it any other way. I spoke to several people leading up to find out baby’s gender and they all told me they thought baby Berry was a girl. I can’t believe it but they were all right! Chris and I decided to find out at our anatomy scan at 18 weeks and I have no regrets about that. It was so nice to have this little secret to ourselves before sharing with our family and friends. After our appointment, we headed to a late lunch/early dinner at Condado before stopping into my favorite store… Cub Shrub! I treated myself to a little girl outfit and hat. I am sure I will always cherish those pieces.
We planned a gender reveal fiesta for both of our families to share the news. It was the Sunday after Cinco de Mayo and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was sunny and warm and I was so happy to have everyone there. We strung a piñata stuffed with pink from our wedding arbor. I love that that arbor was present for our wedding vows and now the sharing of the news of our baby girl. It will live in my yard until it falls apart, which hopefully isn’t anytime soon.
I cannot believe that last Mother’s Day I was in Copenhagen desperately hoping for a baby and this Mother’s Day I was able to put my hand down on my bump, proof that there will be a baby soon. I am trying to enjoy every moment of my pregnancy because time is flying by and September will be here before we know it.
