Thanksgiving has come and gone and the month of November is almost over. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did. My oldest sister came home for the holiday and it made the holiday that much sweeter. I also got a couple days off from work to celebrate Thanksgiving and so far it has been so nice and relaxing. Usually the month of November isn’t as great as October but I think this year has been great! I started a new job that I think I will enjoy and I’m getting into the holiday spirit.
The month of November started off so mild and we’ve been so lucky in Ohio to experience above average temperatures pretty much the whole month. I broke out all my boots and sweaters and I couldn’t be happier. As usual this month, I spent lots of time snuggling with Max and have been really loving the center part. In high school I NEVER would have styled my hair any way other than with a deep side part but now I find that I prefer a center part, especially when I curl my hair. I also finally got my delivery of the Harry Potter Coloring Book that I had preordered on Amazon in September (great gift idea, btw). I haven’t colored in it yet but I absolutely cannot wait.
One of the sadder events this month was the loss of my grandpa. He had been in bad health for quite some time and the situation was complicated and had my emotions all twisted up as well. I miss the person that I remember from my childhood but I am grateful that he is finally at peace. With the loss of life, I believe things balance out and one of my best friend’s got engaged this month and I was able to photography my sister-in-law and her future husband’s engagement photos. It was freezing that day but I’m really pleased with how the photos turned out.
As I said before, I started my new job this past week and discovered that there’s a Starbucks with a drive-thru seconds away. I’m not a big Starbucks drinker but now that I know it will be so convenient, I might be consuming more overpriced coffee. Also, did you know it was just Thanksgiving? I spent the day with my family and those that I love the most and it was perfect. To follow up, on this warm Black Friday, I got coffee with my sisters at Staufs and I wish everyday could start that way.
Again, I hope everyone had a joyous Thanksgiving and has a relaxing weekend!
