A couple weeks ago my entire family (minus my sis & sweet Piggy) stayed at a cabin in Adams county for a mini getaway over Mother’s Day weekend. We stumbled upon the Round House online and thought it looked pretty cool so we decided to rent it out for a couple nights. The drive down to Winchester, Ohio only took a couple hours and it was nice to be out of the city for a bit. The trek to the cabin was more wild than we expected but the cabin was so unique and was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. We didn’t do too much hiking due to the heat and poison ivy but instead played games and spent time together. We had dinner one night on the Ohio River at Moyer Winery Restaurant, which was great, and took turns preparing the remainder of the meals at the cabin. We ended our stay with a excursion to Serpent Mound, which was a fun way to spend Mother’s Day.
[we got to utilize our new GoPro on this trip so that was super fun]
[Max wasn’t sure what he thought about the drive down]
If you’re looking for a fun place to visit in Ohio where you can relax and enjoy the great outdoors without too many tech distractions, definitely check out the Round House and the other cabins that are available.
