It’s that time! Spring is in full swing and the weather has finally warmed up and I couldn’t be happier. I am so ready to spend more time outside soaking up the sun. We still have so much work to do in our yard before baby comes so I hope to get my butt in gear and kill two birds with one stone. I’m also looking forward to our trip to New York, which is right around the corner. Eek! I am a sucker for travel guides so the Monocle NYC Guide made my list of spring picks.
This is a bit late but I have really enjoyed my quarterly monthly pick posts. I’m a bit all over the place this month and really just trying to fill in some missing things in my home and wardrobe. Since creating this post, I have already picked up the Madewell midi dress in black and I love it. It’s not the most flattering fit but it’s nice and long on me (below my knee) and has room for my expanding stomach. Speaking of expanding stomachs, I am seriously missing my high waisted jeans. I feel like I lost my daily uniform and since I can’t just wear leggings to work everyday, I hope to pick up a pair of maternity jeans so I can feel more like myself.
Another item I have already picked up is the Therapy Massage Bar from Lush. Man, does it smell good. I was originally drawn to it after Lush posted about it on Instagram and mentioned how it was great for pregnant woman with dry skin. My skin has overall been much dryer since I have become pregnant, and my stomach has been extremely itchy. I have been using this lotion for five days now and it has been great. It does leave a slightly greasy feeling but even after 5 hours, my skin still feels moisturized. It’s also so easy to use. Another thing that I HOPE will help with my dryness without making my lips sore is the Dior Lip Balm. I like natural looking lip products and have heard great things about this product.
My other spring picks are just little bits and bobs that I could definitely see myself using this season. The Lotta from Stockholm Highwood is super cute and would be the perfect dressy-ish shoe for a tall gal. It has a little heel, but even I should be able to walk in them. As my husband always points out, I love mustard colored everything. This pillow is a bit silly-expensive but it’s so stinking cute. I envision it sitting in a grey rocker/glider in the nursery and that makes me very happy. Finally, that outdoor sofa. I have always wanted an outdoor sofa for my patio and I like the simple lines of this one from World Market. It’s not too big and not too small and would help me create the outdoor oasis I am desperate for.
