It’s been a year since I began sharing my seasonal wish list/current picks and I must say I have really enjoyed it. Dedicating time to blogging has been very difficult for me over the last 6 or so months but this Winter Picks Wish List might be just what I need to get back into the swing of it. I find that I am buying fewer things than I used to but when I do, I opt for quality. That shows a little in this current picks list but I do always try to include a range.
This winter has been pretty mild for the most part until Christmas came. The holidays brought frigid temperatures and more snow than we have had for a while. We then had a couple days of warmer weather and now are right back to the cold with even more snow. The sparkling white snow is beautiful, but man, I am tired of the cold. And as someone who is always cold, I can’t help but be tempted by a jacket that looks as cuddly as this one from Zara. I have seen teddy coats all over the internet but this one has a slightly more wearable vibe with the motorcycle details.
Except for the 5 days a week I have to venture outside to go to work, I spend as much of my time as possible at home snuggled on the couch. This might explain why nearly every item on my winter picks caters to my desire to be a homebody. Whenever I can discipline myself and clean the tub, I love to take a long, hot bath. Lush bath bombs are some of my absolute favorite and I cannot get enough of their lavender or vanilla scents. I usually like to have something on standby to read and the Pet People Magazine fits the bill and combines some of my favorite things: pretty coffee table books and cute pets. It’s also Swedish!
When snuggled at home, there is nothing better than lighting a woodsy candle. Illume’s Woodfire is my absolute favorite scent and this copper candle is beautiful too. The scene is completed with this sheepskin throw, which has a dupe at Ikea if you want a more affordable option (soon to be featured in my Ikea favorites). Just add a cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine, and I’d be a happy girl.
Some other odds and ends for this winter picks list include things that make me feel just a little extra special during the gloomy season. I just can’t do a winter wish list without including something from Glossier and their newest product, Solution, promises to chemically exfoliate the skin and help clean acne, which I need. I also haven’t had signature earrings in a while and the Stellar studs from Merjuri are right up my alley. And since I am totally on that star/constellation kick right now, I am sure I could find a place for this Libra print from Society 6.
Now that winter has really set in, I am dreaming of spring and warm weather. Thankfully I have a mini trip to New Orleans to look forward to next month where I should be able to enjoy some warmth and sunshine. In the meantime, I will continue to hygge it up!
